Memorial Day Vehicle Procession
While the current COVID-19 situation limits our gatherings, we thought that families could watch a vehicle procession from a safe distance at their homes and pause to remember our veterans that died for our country.
Accordingly, on Monday, May 25, 2020 we will have a vehicle procession with first responder vehicles that will drive through the city.
The vehicle procession will begin at the Falls Pointe Development Pool parking lot at 11:00 a.m. The vehicles will then travel through Flair; Sprague to Plum Creek; Plum Creek to Lindbergh; West to Forestview; Orchard Grove to Thicket; Lewis Road; Chestnut Grove Cemetery; Old Cemetery (Turkeyfoot) and end at the Village Green.
At the end of the procession Vietnam Veteran and Silver Star Recipient Rick Adler will speak. Mr. Adler’s speech will be recorded and placed on the city’s website and Facebook page for viewing.
We would ask that all residents remain in their driveways and practice social distancing with neighbors. Have a safe Memorial Day, and please remember all of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
We would like to give special thanks to Ameriprint for the production of the banner and Jorge Robinson who was kind enough to design it.
