My history with Olmsted Falls began in 2006 with my employment at the Olmsted Township Police Department. I quickly learned of the unique relationship the Olmsted community shares. In 2011, after marrying an Olmsted Township Firefighter, Olmsted Falls became my home. My oldest son is an Olmsted Falls graduate and Navy veteran. My second oldest son will graduate from Olmsted Falls in 2020 and my youngest child attends Falls Lenox. I volunteer within the community on a regular basis and am employed by our school district as a Teaching Assistant. In 2018, I was appointed to the Olmsted Falls Board of Park & Recreation and founded "Olmsted's Fall-O-Ween." I have met many wonderful people within our community; residents, business owners, school staff, police officers, firefighters, service workers, and elected officials. Many of whom, I call friends. It is an honor to represent them on council.

Councilwoman Jansen obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration; graduating with Academic Distinction and Academic Achievement Awards. Prior to this, she graduated from the Ohio Peace [Police] Officer Training Academy and served as an Auxiliary Police Officer. She has taken numerous emergency planning and response trainings, including the FEMA Professional Development Series.
